jayne elliott
Jayne was born in Wales and moved to Cornwall with her family as a young child.
Her love of painting and art has always been a major part of her life. Whether teaching art, running her own gallery (The Summerhouse, 2011-March 2023) or working in a gallery (Tate St Ives), she has always tried to make time to paint and create.
Since 2020, Jayne has decided to devote her time fully to her passion. Her 2023 show, Hiraeth, was the result.
Jayne’s work is a response to dreams and emotions, with an abstract realism element.
An artist with an ephemeral style, her work is atmospheric with a sense of space and also feeling.
Michael Praed, 2023
